Event response

What happens when a monitored camera detects an intruder?

A monitored-camera alert is the beginning of a workflow, not proof that a crime is occurring. The system and operator use the available video, site rules, schedule, and response plan to assess and escalate a supported event.

1. Detection

A person, vehicle, line-crossing, loitering, or other supported analytic triggers within the configured area and schedule. Camera angle, scene conditions, thresholds, and system health influence detection quality.

2. Verification and deterrence

When the service supports it, an operator reviews available live or recorded context. The operator may close a non-threatening event or follow the site plan, which can include audio talk-down, property contacts, or a request for an appropriate response.

3. Notification and improvement

The designated contacts receive the information defined in the plan. Events, outcomes, nuisance triggers, and site changes should be reviewed so rules, zones, schedules, lighting, or camera views can be improved.
