Design around a controlled capture point
The most dependable results come from a defined lane or choke point where the plate occupies enough of the image. Gates, drive aisles, garage entrances, and access roads should be evaluated for geometry, speed, queuing, and possible alternate routes.
Control image conditions
Nighttime headlights, reflective plates, sunlight, vehicle direction, weather, vibration, focus, shutter speed, and infrared behavior can affect capture. The installation should be tested with representative vehicles during relevant conditions.
Protect and use the data responsibly
Limit search and export permissions, use individual accounts, document the operational purpose, set an appropriate retention period, secure remote access, and confirm any legal, contractual, association, or policy requirements applicable to the property.
